Jobseekrs® is a brand-new unbiased job platform, which announced its launch in Manchester last month to help job seekers find the right role to meet their long-term career plans and employers find the best long-term candidate.
Jobseekrs®, launched by the Manchester-based entrepreneur, Jamaal Brathwaite, plans to revolutionise the future of hiring by introducing an unbiased process using its new recruiting platform (Jobseekrs.co.uk). Jobseekrs® uses algorithms to screen candidates for jobs based first and foremost on how well they fit a company’s culture and skills requirement without displaying any other influencers. Matching an individual’s preferences with those of an employers’ perceived culture, Jobseekrs® will exclude any other factors from the initial process. This will reduce candidate dissatisfaction and the employers will see a reduced churn rate and lower cost per hire.
Why Was Jobseekrs Created?
Jobseekrs’ founder, Jamaal, undertook significant research into the ins and outs of the recruitment industry processes and problems. Jamaal found that the culture of hiring employees was steeped in bias and not on the best long-term cultural fit, resulting in a hiring process based on short termism and not on what is best for employer and candidate.
We currently live in a world that has changed drastically over the last 3 months, from a pandemic changing the way we work, to events that have caused a lot of us companies and governments alike, to realise and reflect on the role unconscious bias plays in limiting opportunities for certain groups of people. It almost feels as though the true reason why Jobseekrs® was created needs a bit less explaining now.

Inspired to make a change, Jamaal created Jobseekrs®, to ensure that everyone is given a fair chance to take employment opportunities regardless of their name, gender, race, sexual orientation, or age. The choice must be based on the person with the best cultural fit and long-term future of both parties.
Despite the current economic crises due to COVID19, employers are still hiring, and Jamaal felt with so many people furloughed and at home, they would have time to reflect on their careers and workforce and plan for the £bounce back£.
Jamaal’s goal for his new company is to create a platform that puts equality and fairness at the forefront of the recruitment process to create an inclusive work culture for all.
The hiring process is expensive, time consuming and fraught with issues. Mistakes take a long time to rectify and are disappointing. Jamaal has created a low-cost solution, which balances the needs of all, using psychometric profiling of both the candidate and employer to ensure the closest fit possible. Jobs are posted for free and employers only pay to access the CVs which best match all the criteria.
